Hundreds of New Bendix ABS EC-80 and MBE4000 codes added

This update includes adding the new Bendix ABS EC-80 and the MBE4000 engine. The lists you will see below will show you the code numbers and descriptions, but with access to the website you’ll receive complete repair information on all of these codes.

Bendix EC-80

Then Bendix ESP EC-80 Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is a member of the Bendix branded Antilock Braking Systems (ABS). This is used to control the air brakes on medium and heavy duty trucks, tractors, and buses. This ABS has 3 pieces of technology used to do this. The first is the Electronic Stability Program called “ESP”, which uses wheel speed sensors to monitor four wheel-ends to determine wheel slip or wheel lock-up during braking. If it notices this, the system will intervene use Pressure Modulator Valves (PMVs) to adjust and/or pulse the brake pressure. The second technology is Automatic Traction Control (ATC) which provides standard ABS functions. This includes improving traction during acceleration and help aid lateral stability while driving through curves. The last is the more advanced functions of the ESP. This includes analyzing the vehicle’s motion compared to the driver’s intended path and provides Roll Stability Program (RSP) and Yaw Control (YC). When needed, the system will intervene to reduce the engine speed and/or apply the brakes at one or more wheel ends.
